Hi, I’m Elizabeth Houston, the founder of Elizabeth Houston Tech, and yes, I may have heard the old line, “Houston, we have a problem” a few too many times in my life.
As a seasoned educator with a love for travel and an eye for creativity, I help course creators, teachers, and small business owners overcome the technical obstacles that can stand in the way of achieving their online goals.
Over my 15-year teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages and backgrounds, both in the US and abroad. I am grateful that I was able to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in South Korea and computer science in Taiwan this past decade.
As an educator, I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology, as well as a graduate certificate in K-12 Computer Science Education.
Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping others learn and grow. However, I knew that if I wanted to stay true to this passion, I needed to take this to heart and start exploring new avenues for growth and discovery myself.
Finding My Way in the Digital Space
As the world of education, and really, the world itself changed in recent years, I found myself feeling restless. I longed for more flexibility in my work, the opportunity to challenge myself, and the chance to help others in a new way.
That’s when I discovered the world of web design, online course creation, and tech virtual assistant services.
As I began exploring this new world of online entrepreneurship, I rediscovered my love for content creation and the tech side of things. I realized that many teachers and aspiring course creators out there were in the same position I was in—looking for a new path but not sure how to make it happen.
